Mindi’s practice focuses on U.S.-Canada cross-border tax issues. She provides legal assistance to Canadians living, working or investing in the U.S, as well as to Americans living and working in Canada.
Mindi received her B.S., summa cum laude in Accounting, from Yeshiva University, Sy Syms School of Business, New York (2006) and her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, New York (2009). Mindi was admitted to the New York and New Jersey State Bars in 2010 and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 2013. She is currently admitted to practice before the U.S. Tax Court and is licensed by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Foreign Legal Consultant, which is a requirement for all Ontario lawyers who provide advice on foreign law.
Mindi worked as a tax lawyer in the tax department of a major international law firm in New York City, focusing on the taxation of domestic and international financial institutions. Before joining MKW, Mindi practiced real estate law, estate planning and corporate/commercial law at another Toronto law firm.
